Centers of Excellence in Sustainable Energy Vocational Education and Training – SECOVE

MAIN OBJECTIVE:
The SECOVE project aims to establish a cooperation network between Centers of Professional Excellence (CoVEs) in the clean and sustainable energy sector. In Euskadi, the focus has been on the fields of AI, Cybersecurity and IoT applied to energy efficiency.
MAIN RESULTS:
- Trends on technological changes and their impact on qualifications
- Recommendations for alignment of VET courses to Smart Specialisation Strategies (RIS3)
- Challenge-based modules for entrepreneurial mindset and skills
- VET graduates tracking systems
- Common units on sustainable energy using VR
- Business – Education partnerships for work-based learning
- Internationalization strategies
- SECOVE Observatory on inclusiveness/ attractiveness of VET practises
- SECOVE Guidelines and recommendations for inclusive and attractive VET and education
- Innovation hubs and operational manual
- Competition for applied research projects
- Success stories and policy recommendations
- 28 local and transnational workshops, as well as networking events with stakeholders (for a total of 590 participants),
- mobilities (benefiting 45 vocational training students),
- 9 VET summer academies for girls in secondary education (180 people are expected to participate),
- 4 training events (training of 89 people from partner organizations),
- 3 transnational conferences (for a total of 210 participants).
