MAIN OBJECTIVE :
The CLIMA-VERSE (CLIMAte change education for secondary schools using MetaVERSE) project aims to enhance formal education’s capacity to leverage Metaverse technology for developing key sustainable development competences among students. The project seeks to create an innovative educational approach that integrates cutting-edge technologies with sustainable development strategies, addressing the challenges of climate change and the need for technology-enhanced learning experiences.

MAIN RESULTS:
The following are the main results of the CLIMAVERSE project:
- Development of a green curriculum based on the GreenComp framework, focusing on creating environmental scenarios in the Metaverse to promote climate responsibility and sustainable development education in secondary schools.
- Creation of a virtual environment on the Metaverse that replicates the developed curriculum, allowing for immersive learning experiences.
- Implementation of a training mobility program for educators and teachers, providing them with materials and skills related to using the Metaverse and the new curriculum.
- Production of guidelines for teachers and students to enhance their learning experience with the CLIMA-VERSE virtual reality environment.
- Organization of learning experiences for students to test and provide feedback on the developed curriculum and Metaverse environment.
These outcomes aim to contribute to the broader European objectives of fostering innovation and digital transformation in education while promoting environmental awareness and sustainability.
