Advanced Dual VET at Politeknika Txorierri
Advanced Dual Training is a teaching methodology that combines periods of time in a training centre with paid placements in a company, carrying out activities in line with the qualification. The aim of this initiative is to achieve the accreditation of training adapted to the specific practice of a professional field.
In-Company Training
Students in the second year of Vocational Training Courses have the opportunity to combine studies and work. One part of the training is carried out at Politeknika Txorierri and the other in the company, with the professional competences (modules) of the course taken being distributed between the traininc centre and the company.
THE NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS MODALITY ARE AS FOLLOWS:
- To have successfully completed the whole firts year of the course.
- The sutdent must be registered in Lanbide.
TYPES OF ADVANCE DUAL TRAINING:
- Two-year courses: the objective is to reinforce the competences that the student acquires in the vocational training cycle.
- Three-year courses: to acquire a specialisation that responds to the needs of companies due to their complex production processes.

Students who participate in dual training gain invaluable work experience. Characteristics and benefits of dual training include:
- They learn in real work situations, acquiring a minimum of one year’s professional experience.
- The student-worker signs a Training and Apprenticeship contract, for which he/she receives a salary according to the agreement and pays Social Security contributions.
