GenAISA – Generative AI Skills Academy

DURATION:

2024-2027

MAIN OBJECTIVE:

The primary aim of the GenAISA project is to address the skills gap in the emerging field of generative AI. To achieve this, it will create two specialized curricula tailored for Higher Education (HE) and Vocational Education and Training (VET). The HE curriculum is designed to equip learners with the technical skills needed to design and develop generative AI solutions, while the VET curriculum focuses on enabling the efficient, safe, and ethical use of these technologies. Additionally, the project incorporates a resilience skills course, which will help participants adapt to workplace challenges and foster career longevity.

MAIN RESULTS:

The project will deliver several significant outcomes, including:

  • A Generative AI Competences Map and job profiles aligned with ESCO standards, specifically targeting roles such as “Generative AI Engineer” and “Prompt Engineer.”
  • Comprehensive Higher Education (HE) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) curricula, with a focus on modern pedagogical methodologies like microlearning and challenge-based learning.
  • A Digital Skills Passport to certify students’ technical and transversal skills, supporting personalized career planning.
  • Educational content accessible through a MOOC for the HE and VET curricula, while the resilience skills course will be delivered in a virtual world environment.

GenAISA will also establish a collaborative ecosystem for the co-design and co-development of innovative curricula, addressing the talent and skills needs of industries shaped by disruptive technologies such as generative AI.
