Specialisation Programme on Digital Transformation of Industry
Currently, the industry is undergoing a process of digitalisation, this paradigm is known as Industry 4.0. This transformation requires professionals capable of adapting production systems by incorporating technologies that make it possible to measure, store and manage data securely. This specialisation programme will respond to this demand for digitalisation on the part of the industrial companies in the area.

With the specialisation programme in the digital transformation of industry, you will learn more about Industry 4.0 technologies.
The equipment and technology that students will use at Politeknika Txorierri will be:
Install, configure and maintenance of devices.
Install, configure and maintenance of devices, architectures, platforms and services related to the implementation of digital services in industry, using specific technologies and development environments, ensuring secure data acquisition, connectivity and data analysis in accordance with established legal and industry standards.
Transversal competences through the ETHAZI methodology
We work using the ETHAZI methodology in which students, in addition to acquiring the technical skills they need to obtain, acquire other transversal skills that will help them in their professional career. That is, teamwork, communication, involvement, initiative, responsibility ….
CHALLENGES
- Design of applications with Python to manage databases: in this challenge, students will create Python programmes and finally create a programme that allows them to connect to and manage a Mysql server database.
- IOT network configuration: in this challenge, students install and configure different elements of an IOT network (microcontrollers with sensors, Lora sensors and gateways, industrial automatons, etc.) to capture data from an industrial system. This data is stored in an IOT platform for subsequent management and analysis.
- Industrial cybersecurity: students carry out an analysis of an industrial system (a mechanical manufacturing workshop or similar) to propose and implement the necessary cybersecurity measures (installation of a firewall, use of VPN, monitoring of network traffic, etc.).
