Arduino Programming for Schools – SYS-STEM

DURATION:

2019-2021

MAIN OBJECTIVES:

The SYS-STEM project aims to provide access to quality, ready-to-use teaching materials in electronics and digital technology to teachers of students between 14 and 18 years old. These materials enable hands-on projects to be carried out in the 4 remote and shared ArdLab arduino labs. The project, carried out by organizations from 4 different countries (Croatia, Greece, Spain and Portugal), has developed a methodology designed to excite and engage more middle and high school students in STEM and electronics and future careers in those fields.

MAIN RESULTS:

The SYS-STEM project has made education more accessible and supports secondary schools and teachers to develop ambitious STEM education. 2 certified trainers from each of the 5 project partner organizations have provided a 20-25 hour training course for teachers from the partner schools in the SYS-STEM methodology and have mentored teachers from participating schools interested in testing the materials with their students for the duration of the project.
