Drones@Steam: Fostering digital transformation in VET schools and creating new employment prospects in the labor market

MAIN OBJECTIVE:

The overall objective of the project is to encourage VET students to engage in STEAM-related professions and to equip them with the necessary skills using DRONE technology.
The key competencies that are promoted within the framework of the project are:

  • High digital skills that seem to be missing in VET curricula and are currently required to access the labor market and be included in VET professional profiles.
  • Specific “broad and deep” digital skills and the use of technologies conducive to Industry 4.0.
  • Job-specific VET-related competencies for various fields and sectors that are not offered as work-based learning opportunities or include hazards or risks to workers.

MAIN RESULTS:

  • The white paper on the use of technology and STEAM in VET: transnational monitoring report and peer review.
  • Drones@Steam self-assembly manual for vocational training centers.
  • Drones@Steam e-Learning Academy: platform and mobile application.
  • Drones@Steam Academy: launch within the framework of the European VET week.
