From Traditional Workshop to Sustainable Workshop

DURATION:

2021-2023 / 18 months

MAIN OBJECTIVE:

The project “From Traditional Workshop to Sustainable Workshop” aims to increase efficiency, optimize services, and reduce costs in production workshops while making them more sustainable. To achieve this, a multidisciplinary and intermodular training course will be developed to enable the implementation of IoT technology in the workshop. By implementing this technology, a large amount of operational data and information will be extracted, allowing for the management of various environmental aspects under the concept of Industry 4.0 connected factory. This control enables the identification of inefficiencies not only in operations but also in environmental aspects. This allows for objective and fast decision-making, addressing waste valorization processes, energy efficiency, and the use of renewable resources, ultimately leading towards a circular economy 4.0.

MAIN RESULTS:

The project focuses on technological and environmental innovation applied to production processes, with the objective of implementing intelligent production plants that generate interpretable data to identify areas for improvement and make more sustainable decisions in industry management. Additionally, it aims to promote women’s access to technical profiles and foster education in science and technology. The project also supports the creation of businesses and proposes a collaborative learning methodology based on challenges and cross-cutting competencies. It aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, addressing areas such as quality education, gender equality, decent work and economic growth, innovative industry and sustainable infrastructure, sustainable cities and communities, responsible production and consumption, and climate action.
